Not saying it was all bad, but the fact that they listened to Hitler for military strategy means it was a retarded system overall and Germany remains a weak and defeated nation to this day as a result...

In pretty much every system, the military takes orders from the sovereign (Churchill, Stalin, Trump). Either that, or the leader of the military becomes the sovereign (Napoleon).

Hitler's command of Germany's military was in no way unusual. In fact it would have been almost crazy for it to be any other way.
