Just watched an entitled white woman call the cops on a PostNL driver because he took two minutes to deliver a package. I live on a small road where there's no where to really park, so mail delivery people have to stop the truck outside someone's apartment to deliver mail. They do this every day. It's incredibly normal, but they lady got out of her car and found and harassed the delivery guy. I didn't realize what was happening until I heard the word police, and then I and another neighbor came out to be like, "excuse me, what?"

As you can imagine, the delivery guy is a dark skinned person of color and the white woman is a rich lady in a tesla. When we saw both me and the other little old neighbor lady and then another lady come out, she fled back into her car because we told the delivery guy to ignore her, and just move on with his deliveries. She then actually went to her car and called the cops and was recording the delivery guy? Like, what in the world is your problem? What is wrong with you? He's literally the fucking mail man.

Anyway, I was going to go to the store, but now I have to wait outside in case the cops show up, because I need to explain to them that this Karen is just incredibly shitty and the mail man did nothing wrong.

He was only parked there for 2 minutes. He does this daily, but Miss Nazi Mobile, who doesn't live around here, took a weird road to get to her destination and just can't comprehend how fucking Amsterdam works.

I learned recently that Dr. Johanna Fernandez died :[ She was only 55. She did amazing work as a scholar of the Young Lords (which was a predominantly Puerto Rican org, modeled after the Black Panthers). Anything that requires yeast in a recipe absolutely fucking terrifies me. I am so bad at baking. I can do basically anything else, but omg, I cannot bake anything with yeast.

I wish we could leave a server level note about specific users that were suspended or limited and why. This would be very helpful especially for limited users that were just limited because an entire instance was limited (due to spam, for example, as we have done with mastodon.social). This way people would know why it is someone isn't getting proper reach. It's often honestly just because the instance itself is limited, unless it's like... a nazi and/or racist and/or some other kind of bigot, and in those cases, the community should also learn why that was, instead of having to do fediblocks or maintain a spread sheet and then dig those back up when people have questions.

So many of you post in English, I forget you all speak like 8 languages fluently and I speak like... .75 kinda ok.
