I’m not so sure your take on this is reasonable. Humans are corruptible and when they depend on money and belonging to a group for their comfort or safety they are willing to go along with the groupthink, which is heavily influenced by the leaders.

I think the capture of Core has been a subtle almost unintended capture by the funders. They fund people who they like and who share their views, and promote people who are particularly well aligned.

There’s zero chance Gloria (or anyone straight out of college with limited experience) would, like, you know, like, reach a like, position of like authority in a well run like meritocracy.
