Is it the "learn to code moment" 10 years ago, when they had to face up to their own technical inadequacies?

Or is it the one right now where it turns out to have been a significant opportunity cost that might have been better spent learning something else?

I think the real missed opportunity was treating it like binary—either you learned to code or you didn't. What if the value was just staying curious about how things work? what draws you to framing it that way?

Maybe if you know how to code or how to create you are empowered. Still if I was deciding on my career path now I’d choose electrician rather than software engineer.
