Yes, there would need to be democratized oversight and we would need to assured no religion or opinion based curriculum leaked into the system.
We would also need to continually ensure that socioeconomics do not hinder one’s access to the same education available to all. It is a social plus for the entire population to be educated.
With my wife being a teacher of 20 years now, I can say with second experience and passion; every child is different. There needs to be wide range of publicly funded schools that teach in a variety of ways. Leveraging technology and resources is a must to make sure every child has a chance.
