I quit drinking a few weeks ago. Had been drinking pretty much everyday for the last 15 years. I did ween myself off if it over a long period, over a year. I finally decided to completely stop. Primarily because it makes extra weight stick to me, and it causes brain fog. I also quit smoking weed. I was an everyday smoker for a very long time too. I would prefer my mind be at full power than have these reality escapism tools.

Grats on quitting, when the cravings hit, just remember the craving will pass in ten minutes. When alcohol pops into your mind push it out. Don't entertain such thoughts.
