some X11-era games like serious sam 2 will not properly handle their keyboard input so once the process terminates whatever window gets focus will receive the whole string of wwwwwwwssssddddddssssdddwwwwwwaaaaaaasss keypresses

i don’t know how that works at the protocol level but i’m glad x11 is basically dead now and i won’t end up spamming random IRC channels with that again
