Personally, I keep hearing the word "safe" rather than easier. I really don't like it.
There were times when swaddling our son as a newborn was the only thing that seemed to calm him, so those times I was okay with it, but I didn't like when he really wanted to put his arms up and couldn't. Though that training of getting them out of there may have helped build his arm strength, cause man is he strong! 🀣
Our plan was natural birth, but due to a medical emergency, I was taken to the hospital where they then found him bradycardia and emergency c-sectioned him out. (We want all the rest of them natural!)

He got formula at the hospital, and we left with a few bottles but I'd say he's 99% nursed by now. I pumped some in the beginning, but it's easier to just let him lead. Unforeseen circumstances got him back on formula around 9 months, but he still prefers the real stuff!

I don't even know what sleep training means. I/we have done what we can to help him feel secure and when the sun goes down, usually so does he.

I like the idea of daily sunlight, except I need to take into account the over 100f temps so I don't also fry him πŸ˜…

My thoughts on cosleeping have to do with how the mom sleeps. If she's a roller in her sleep, probably not a good idea, if she wakes up anytime she need to move, totally fine and even preferred, and makes night nursing 1000% easier as the baby can scoot already from birth! So better sleep for all. But don't say that to any of the agencies cause they're so focused on "safe" that they might steal your baby and cause extreme damage to the child that was getting a better experience.

Baby-led weaning, is that to let the child lead the end of nursing? What happens if they're not done but you have more kids?
I do like the baby led eating. Our son loves trying new foods. He watched me take a bite of an apple yesterday and then he grabbed it from me and tried himself, and wouldn't let it go! I paid attention so he never managed to get a chunk off cause that could be really bad since apple don't melt in your mouth very easily and he doesn't have enough teeth for chewing yet πŸ˜…

it's really hard to be a new mom πŸ«‚ no one thing makes it a failure. your awareness sounds like you are great at it.
