The answer to the "What are we going to do if AI takes over our jobs? People will just do drugs all day." comment is to gradually reduce everybody's work hours until we hit the inevitable zero.

I'm aware the people I'm my circle aren't representative, but I think this will take a generation or two to achieve. And a new economic model.
If the people I know were to have their work hours replaced by AI they would do nothing but watch sports ball all day.
I'm the only hodler in my circle, if it happened to me I'd just upscale my side hustle. And accept #bitcoin.
