or in other words, the Serpent was a man, also. and it raises so many questions about the semantics of the word Lord. i've read through most of genesis recently, and it was obvious to me straight away...
Jesus is the Word and Creator of all that is.
"1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." (John 1:1-2)
Nothing that exists was not created by Jesus and that includes Satan and the angels.
Jesus is God and has always existed.
"God said to Moses, “ I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” (Exodus 3:14) The name of God is "I am."
"Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8:58)
If you look at the Pharisees response after Jesus's statement, they understood He was claiming to be God.
"Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”" (John 20:28)
Jesus was worshipped as God and Jesus blessed Thomas for believing that He was God. Whenever a person falls down in worship before an angel, the angel instantly corrects the person. Jesus accepted it.
