@ww 🩶 I pretty much always have to wait for hot water here. Simply due to how the plumbing is assembled. (Though some of my previous apartments were faster than this one.)

I don't think I've ever encountered an extraction fan with adequate efficiency (ignoring fume hoods).

Generally warming the bathroom (if I had heaters/radiators in there, in some apartments), turning off the heat after I'm done and leaving the extraction fan to do the job for however long was relatively comfortable.
