Actual woodgas is a different thing, the problem with it is it's an actual internal combustion engine with all of the reliability issues those have.
This is a "gasification boiler" (just means it re-burns the smoke to get better efficiency), but it has a sterling engine (1 moving part, very reliable) that generates power from the temperature difference.
