From my understanding, it doesn't require any identification. Basically the OS can ask "are you 18?", you lie, then companies that run sites like pornhub and discord can use that API and cover their ass. Seems better than requiring age verification everywhere, even if I'd prefer we don't need it anywhere.

Of the shit options, it kinda seems like the least-shit one
