sauna: legit health benefits or overhyped?
ive been doing 3 sessions of 10-15 minutes a day. i enjoy it but curious to hear what the wisdom of the internet has to say
If someone has problems with the following, be careful with sauna recommendations
- acute illnesses such as flu or a cold
- vein diseases, such as varicose veins or vein inflammation (beware pregnat women or those with hormonal disbalances!)
- diseases of the liver and kidneys
- epilepsy
- after a stroke, heart attack
Generally older and young people like male and female (hormones!) work differently - often quite the opposite.
