I'm using #homeassistant to start the #monero #XMR mining daemons once our solar panels are generating excess power.
Next step is more solar panels and some BTC mining rigs.
More plainly: Home Assistant on excess solar is the right instinct. When you add BTC ASICs, treat $/kWh like the whole business — hashrate is secondary. We're building the denser version in Wisconsin as controllable load on cheap industrial power.
