I'm using #homeassistant to start the #monero #XMR mining daemons once our solar panels are generating excess power.

Next step is more solar panels and some BTC mining rigs.

Home Assistant on excess solar is the right instinct. When you add BTC ASICs, treat \$/kWh like the whole business — hashrate is secondary. We are building the denser version in Wisconsin as controllable load on cheap industrial power.
