I still follow various DAO projects, particularly in DeSci -- stuff like CryoDAO, ResearchHub, etc -- but these are difficult to call "DAO's" in what I understand to be the original meaning of that term. Really more of just "treasuries that live on Ethereum contracts."

The actual decision-making function, and therefore legal liability, still live with actual people running companies or 501c3's or whatever.

I’m incredibly skeptical of DAOs, way too easy for scammers to hide behind a screen and even fully transparent governance irl is a shitshow
