Is it normal for your aging parents to act very out of character? Both of them were solid as rocks growing up and now I’m dealing with the craziest shit. I could have never imagined I would have to deal with. It’s like I have two impulsive teenagers on my hands. INSANE things from both of them. I’m tempted to air it out here to get advice because I’m having trouble navigating this.

Air it lol. But yeah, pretty sure they get harder to put up with in later years...

Modern aging sees more rapid cognitive decline because diets are so poor. It’s very hard to deal with. Sorry for your troubles.

I’m going through the same thing with my father. He used to be like a rock to me—strong, calm, someone I could always look up to. And now, sometimes it feels like he’s a completely different person, almost like a little child. Seeing that honestly hurts, and it’s often hard to deal with. Bu...

It’s how it goes, one day it’s normal next thing you know you’re sitting in the Waffle House and get a phone call from your dad to say he ripped the door off the refrigerator. Or your mom left another cigarette burning on the stove and you’re running around airing out fire alarms. 😂

How old are they? Could be early stages of dementia if they are really old or could be like a mid life crisis if in their 50.

We had a lot of. Come pick mom up she drove her car the wrong way down the road and trashed a dozen cars... I read your comments and uh... sounds like fun i suppose XD I hope you have some siblings around or kids that can help out. I'm probably much younger, but I have a grandmother in her 80s and ...

Advice: just calm down, inhale, remember you are lucky, and move on 🤝

Crisis or dementia, or both. Both of mine suffered before they died. Dad had extreme dementia for the last few years of his life, and before we knew it was already bad, died barely 60 years old. 20 years later, Mom had advanced organ failure and chronic pain, all leading her to overuse pain relief ...

Helen… that sounds really heavy. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Yeah, it can actually be normal to see big personality shifts as parents get older, sometimes it’s stress, loneliness, health stuff, or even early cognitive changes. But knowing that doesn’t make it any easier when you...

Is it ideologalical stuff of day to day missteps and errors in judgement? My Dad is starting to slip but half of it is the information he’s ingesting daily through the MSM. I wonder what psyop my kids will think I’ve fallen victim to when they are in my position.
