I get to see this on the back end with insurance from a family member. People love to complain about insurance, and yeah things are butt fucked, but you should also see the shit 1000s of people pull all day long + ambulance chasing law firms. People suck $10,000s out of insurance policies for a bumper that got tapped. Some people have legit issues, arguably most are "scamming" the insurance company and they know it, but it's cheaper to settle for an asinine amount of money than it is to go to court for other BS reasons. I'm not defending insurance, companies, but once things can be abused, people abuse it, and it cost everyone else.
