The code is based upon a model of complex exchanges. That model did not come out of thin air, it had substance, a description in words. The machine can only see one state, it’s own state. The model is a fair redistribution of people's agency. Words are compression of more complicated reality, call that soup if you must.

You seem to be focusing on the upstream and not the entire system as the state of fair exchange.
