Words and numbers are not merely compressions of reality. Once created, they can be recombined beyond anything reality has ever realised.

[2] A number can name a magnitude that has never been physically instantiated.
A symbolic rule can then be repeated without any requirement that reality ever performs the corresponding construction.
So the direction becomes;-
reality >>> recognised structure >>> symbol >>> unrestricted symbolic recombination
The dangerous step is the last one.
Once the symbol is detached from the event that originally justified it, language and mathematics can continue indefinitely inside their own rules.
That gives two very different kinds of possibility;-
Symbolic possibility: “I can continue describing or counting.”
Real possibility: “Reality can actually realise the next state.”
Those are not equivalent.
1 is the Ultimate Prime Number.
Mathematics could not deal with the fact that every single exchange is of 1 thing.
No exchange is no thing.
Compression of symbolic terms in language and numbers resulted.
No bad people.
Just a fact that Compression was not understood.
Zero is not a number, it is non-existence.
