I've updated Bitwarden after years without updating and now it just says "vault is locked" and there is no button to unlock or anything. The entire thing just broke. The console has an error about FID...
If you go that long without updating, I think that is to be expected. It's hard to make everything backwards compatible forever.
Export database as a json using one of the devices (browser extension or app), completely reinstall the bitwarden server, clearing its database.
I also recommend using vaultwaden instead bitwarden server.
