PSA: Bitcoin nodes are not some magical public utility that exist only in the cloud. In my case, it is literally a hard drive and Start9 OS in my living room.

That's true. If I upload an image on Dropbox, only I can see it unless I share the link.
If I upload an image in a BIP-110 compliant transaction though, anyone can see it!
