@nprofile1q... hmm, fair point... I'm starting to deliberately choose non-GTK apps when there's a reasonable option these days. KDE was too messy for me back in the day, but a baby born the last time I gave it a daily-drive test would have its undergrad degree at this point... I do think the Mint-version apps (Xapps?) are pretty decent and not too Gnomified. currently I'm planning on switching from Mint to LMDE when I reinstall my laptop.
