Sometimes you can set up an Android device without logging in with Google, or log in and then do nothing else with it.
You can disable all the Google apps, install Aurora Store and Zapstore, and use it like a degoogled device. Not quite as good as using a better OS, but it's fun how much you can do.
I haven't tried this device.
