I've noticed that some crowdfunding campaigns aren't being used as intended. Instead of rewarding the community, some funds appear to stay with the campaign creators.

Only donate to who you can trust. At the end of the day you have to do your research. If someone has been around for awhile, you can trust them more than someone with a few posts starting a crowdfunding campaign. Use your discernment to make the right decision. Might have to implement something where new users are capped on how much they can raise.
