So we know paper Bitcoin is a thing. And we know it actively suppresses upward price discovery. Current trading ratio sits at between 4:1 and 7:1.

However, how easy is it to fix this? There are approximately 3,500,000 coins being actively traded.

How many people have you personally helped to understand Bitcoin and self custody a meaningful amount?

I’m at approximately 10 people. It’s not a massive number on its own however, if every Bitcoiner gathers their 10, this would massively reduce the liquid supply. Bitcoin is and remains a grass roots movement.

All the corporate and nation state adoption can not meaningfully alter the Bitcoin price, in the direction we know it must ultimately go because much of that corporate/nation state adoption is going to remain as either liquid and/or paper Bitcoin.

The way we enter true price discovery is through grass roots, peer to peer, conversations that leads to individual adoption.

Talk to the switched on, affluent, retirees you know. This is a simple and smart way to build this movement.

Why:

1. Because when you orange pill a retiree, you inadvertently orange pill their whole family. Often not one person or one couple but 3 generations or approx 10 additional people. So your effort with 10 people almost automatically becomes 100 people. Your efforts scale with little or no additional effort from you.

2. Retirees have the time to invest in truly understanding what Bitcoin is and how it can positively affect the world.

3. Affluent retirees have access to enough capital to buy meaningful/ life changing amounts of Bitcoin.

4. Grandparents are often thinking about the legacy they will leave for future generations.

I always intended to point my Bitcoin educational efforts towards young people and in truth, when I was asked by an older family member to please come and talk to her investing group about Bitcoin, I was at first extremely reluctant. I was concerned about the responsibility I was taking on dealing with an older generation, their mental capacity and sharpness etc, etc, etc.

However, the right group of retirees, past business owners, professionals and people who have been productive enough in their lifetime to enter a self funded retirement in comfort and are still actively managing their assets. This has been a wonderful group of people to work with.

I still retain my initial reluctance and am very selective in who I’m willing to mentor however, with the right people this avenue has been extremely fulfilling and I’ve made lifelong friendships which are far more valuable to me than any other value for value exchanges made.
