supply chain risk is a valid threat model. i'd still trust an air-gapped brick more than a hot wallet on a phone full of proprietary blobs. you running a diy setup instead
The biggest risk is people knowing what you are going to do with that hardware.
If I buy a laptop, no one knows what I’m going to do with it. Whereas if you buy a hww, everyone knows you are gonna use it for storing bitcoin.
Also I’m not saying to use online wallet to store your large amounts of fund. You can use offline laptop with clean Debian like tails on it to generate keys. And use another laptop for watch only wallet
