New people don’t get much engagement because established users don’t follow new people so they leave. They feel like they are talking into the void (because they do). Even commenting on notes does...
When I first showed it felt like this but soon I realized engagement was key. So I started commenting on notes and commenting to others notes within. This helped me a lot and am now adventuring outside the bitcoin ecosystem, through hashtags and key words. Not sure this helps but it helped me.
