Meshtastic and Meshcore have an easier entry level for sure. But with Columba app on Android and AutoDiscovery of peers and nodes barriers are much lower now. You can start to play with Columba on WiFi and on Public Testnet over TCP. If you have two LoRa devices with RNode firmware support you can start to try radio interface. If you want to start on desktop you can use MeshChatX which has a lot of Reticulum apps and tools integrated.
