As far as I can tell, it's happening when I'm on any network - several WiFi points and two different mobile networks. I'd prefer to use tor when and where possible, if I can, but this might put me off...
Vpn will slow down tor a bit, wireguard performs slightly better. Some vpn allow exclusion of specific apps so you could exclude amethyst from vpn?
