High quality software is built in detail.

Most software is not high quality, and "learn to code" leads you down the common path to mediocre software.

"Write code" is and always will be necessary for excellence in software. Everything else may be acceptable and run well enough, but it will never be high quality. In fact, the quality of most code will just get worse, and the quality of excellent code will get better. The quantity of bad code will expand, and the quantity of good code will shrink.

Overall, I only see things getting worse. And once the honeymoon period ends and the euphoria wears off, I think that pain will inevitably be felt. And I have no interest in being a part of that.
