No do it now, otherwise the STL file is going to be an absolute fucking mess when you print it out.

Tell me you're an engineer without telling me you're an engineer. You want to build out the over all profile and then sculpt details ontop of it because you'll get better proportions that way.

Preset view on x, or y, depending on where you're set up. Do not fucking rotate it or your vertice fucking rotates with you. That's where you treat it like CAD.

and for refresher.

ctrl+d after clicking vertice duplicates it.
g + x / y / z locks it into that axis for easy adjusting.
e after clicking a single vertice auto connects while letting you trace.

Bonus ; lasso tool + m merge at center between two overlapping pieces works but if you accidentally create / hidden vertices, hover over one, press l, and then to m, merge by distance.

I have saved you 20+ hours worth of a headache.
