Well new info is new info. You have to be discerning. But I’d say maybe don’t reach hard conclusions about things which even have the possibility to shift.
I totally feel you. It's a hard position to defend, though. For me it's more like- I'm against the trendy idea that intelligent people never really feel conviction about anything because they're always evaluating and processing new information. It's really just a way of saying, "I'm too much of a coward to actually feel strongly about anything because I'm afraid of what people will think of me." Strong minds and strong people draw their line in the sand, and only change their position if they are blindsided with information that convinces them otherwise.
