What gets to me is that this happens anytime I make real forward progress.
It's like the world is telling me, "How dare you make progress when you should be miserable and laughing at it like the rest...
The evil in the world is so paralyzing, so overwhelming and painful to look at that I almost have to inoculate myself with numbness just to tolerate it.
