Ok but whatever client you are using for Nostr can be made to do the same things, and Matrix can have clients on different apps stores than regulated ones. I think people just give their favourite protocols too much grace. Fundamentally you can censor Nostr just as effectively, and sacrificing consistency and single source of truth doesn't make you immune to any form of censorship, it just degrades everything.
