You can guess the right answer on a multiple choice question. You’re right but that doesn’t mean you understand it.
I see your point now, but I think there's more than one issue here. There's chance (gambling, guessing, luck), memorization or application without full understanding (following electrical codes without necessarily knowing why they exist, or solving a mathematical formula using steps without actually knowing why), and language or communication of ideas. I was on the language aspect of it. I've had shitty professors who I think understood the concepts. They just sucked ass at teaching.
