This would be awesome for some cash flow going straight to providers for example.

Great piece. In the music industry, this process is called “splits” and it’s the cause of untold mistakes and outright graft. I don’t expect the entertainment industry(ies) to adopt this any time soon, but it’s the solution to this problem.

cryptograffiti did a bespoke version of this a while back https://twitter.com/cryptograffiti/status/1379810913935450115

I love this concept. Maybe @Jack can help make it a reality.

The “whole thing” is a grand idea achieved with the simplicity of the lightning network. Could be implemented into Nostr Clients. Like you said, content splits are already a thing in podcasting 2.0, so why the hell not go full prism. 👌🏻

Being that we already know which events are zapped, it seems like the logical next step to have split feature. Shit, beyond content credit it would be nice to set splits in general. Example… I have my savings wallet, my sons savings wallet and a spending wallet. Wouldn’t it be nice if my tips...

Some of us were talking the other day about #Nostr needing seamless media storage solutions. This might be an interesting way for creators to pay for their media storage. Thoughts?

Oh yes. And lightning prisms can stack. Nothing like referring to earlier work with giving part of income. We do stand on the shoulders of giants.

Lighting prisms are a great idea. I can see using this feature a lot to give value where due. #[0]

Fucking loved it! This is a brilliant idea. I wonder what would be the right representation of the data: should a prism zap e tag the note and then p tag the recipients with an optional split amount going to them? then a 9375 event with the p and an e that does not belong to p can be identified a...

> What’s still missing is attaching payment information to individual events (as opposed to user profiles) This can already be done since the LNURL would get a 9734 so it knows how which event is getting zapped and can dynamically create a the appropriate split 👀

I was thinking about something similar but using a mixture of unique URLs / domain names and lightning addresses!
