For me, it all comes down to true physical ownership. Emulation software or hardware(admittedly I haven't looked into much of the emulation hardware) has gotten really good for older systems like the NES, SNES, and Genesis, but it can't replace the real thing. Also I just like having old tech. I still value physically owning something. I can say I do currently play on an emulator and it's fine mostly it's a bit annoying at times though.
