I really don’t care about normies specifically but the proportion of retards per 100 normals is higher than in most of the cohorts who use Nostr currently.

I find a constant maintenance needed to keep my feed pleasurable. I've unfollowed/blocked/muted plenty of bots and people and will continue to. It's not that hard for me, and I like that I have the ability to do so, that I'm able to interact with the platform in this way. I find the constant tweaking to be refreshing in the way that I don't take things I see for granted or mindlessly consume in the way I could with insta.
It really is all just opinion. For example, I find your complaint "retarded", and wanting to keep "retards" out to me, sounds a lot like gatekeeping- even though you realize you're unable to actually do so.
