In 4 days I’ve put 21 miles on my rollerblades. My knees hurt.
Once upon a time in the late 90s a middle school version of me was out in the park roller blading with half a dozen giggling girlfriends.
There was one guy with us, his personality was entirely hockey based at that point. He was boasting about his skating abilities and showing off by doing tricks on his roller blades while we all ooohed and aahhhhed.
Until at one point he was skating backwards and tripped on a twig and did a very comical Charlie Brown-esque full backflip.
At that exact moment an 18 wheeler was driving down the parkway. The truck stopped completely, honked it's air horn several times, while the driver leaned out of his window pointing and laughing at the poor dude 😂
I think about that trucker every time I see someone roller blading 🤣
