I resolved the situation by just not screwing it down for now, until I get the right screw. The M.2 drive is just kind of floating in there, connected on one side.

Honestly mine has been floating for about a year now without any issue. I don't say it aloud often because I'm embarrassed lol but I didn't have a problem and I've even had to move the PC around!
