Hah, in Australia they were like AUD$30, which was about 10% of a labourer's wage and roughly a third of the cost of rent for a shitty garret.

Also, when it comes to agentic coding tools, Claude is the Bitcoin of the mostly shitcoin/fiat rest of the industry.

I paid $200 in credits using Cursor in my first forays into #vibecoding and hardly got anything done. So I tried Claude because @cloud fodder kept dropping the name, and I spent $100 for a month of that and got 10x as much done.

By sticking with Anthropic's offering, I've got familiar with its quirks and learned how to use it properly—plans are critical, and watching it think is important to catch it getting the wrong idea.

Then they upgraded to Opus 4.5 two months ago, and that was a substantial leap. Now, 4.6, for the same price, is starting to approach a point where it can do a whole task, perfectly, autonomously, about four times out of five.
