I've never really listened to iron maiden or Judas priest (to name just a couple of obvious blind spots I have). I think this is going to take quite a lot of time. Hopefully it's fun.
Painkiller is nuts. Judas Priests first album was somewhere in the mid-70s, and then they manage to drop their hardest album in 1990.
