I follow 300+ people, any more and my feed becomes clustered and hard to keep up.
Regardless, I see the reposts, global posts and following posts all diverging on the same talking points, OVER & OVER...
I mean following 300+ bitcoiners doesn't solve the problem.

Like I said it's the feed that you choose for yourself. Certain clients also allow you to only view original posts from the author instead of reposts, boost, or shares.
