@nprofile1q... that sounds like a fun lesson. I once saw a guy walk up to a gas station with a milk jug and fill it with gas and walk off. Not sure if he made it home or not.

I like to keep a lot of gas on hand for the generator. I figure it's good to have about a weeks supply of gas available just in case, and this'll bring me up to 21.5 gallons of capacity, not including the 6.5 gallon tank on the generator itself.

I only keep about a gallon of two stroke handy and a few gallons of kerosene for the salandader and the old railroad lanterns.
