When you neither accept Occam's Razor (""of two competing theories, the simpler explanation of an entity is to be preferred"") nor Hanlon's Razor ("Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."), you end up believing in conspiracy theories. And yes, I personally put most religions in that box too ;)
