@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... FWIW I've been an open source developer for 25 years and have even fought a LGPL non-compliance case once with the generous help of EFF. What I have learned in those years:
- Complexity in licensing puts off the little guys we actually want to share with
- The people who contribute well will do so without being forced
- Enforcing licenses as a small developer is hell *even when* someone else covers the legal bills (and most people don't get that)
- Bad actors gonna be bad regardless
