Mostly agree. I think the changes bip110 proposed would have been an improvement overall.
That said, I don't think its failure necessarily indicates the wider community just didn't care... just tha...

IMO, besides being coercive and flawed (although well intended), BIP110 was flogged by REALLY low vibe supporter interactions with the broader community. As MS approached, one could sense that this was more about their own stuck emotional trauma (we ALL have this to some degree) than the size of OpReturn.
People can dismiss this as irrelevant or unrelated, however IMO, this is what the emergent network is here to become. A high signal base layer of human coordination free from abstraction.
It’s SO early, that many think they are looking at a nearly finished product and stomp off in frustration after identifying a weak element/pilar in the game theory of the protocol.
I sense it will get even more messy and hard to “discern” for many in these all-important years ahead.
