Satellites continue to be useless except for the governments that want to surveil, enslave and control you.

In most of Australia we have no phone networks, since the 3g got shut down people who live outside urban areas are literally getting starlink just to make calls and send texts over the internet.
You can drive hours between towns with no reception now, anywhere without a large population only has the 4g in town and the farms surrounding have no phone network.
We've gone so far backwards here with this and the previous government.
First they said that fibre optic internet would be too cheap and they replaced all the old well insulated copper wires with new, lower quality copper that's not well insulated.
That cost $90 billion more than fibre optic would have and it reduced speeds.
And now whenever it rains all the trenches leftover that weren't filled in with extra soil fill up with water, which forces everything onto the phone networks because landlines just short out.
And the 4g network already struggles.
So literally whenever it rains I can't load a YouTube video.
In you live in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or the area directly around them it's not like this, but for the entire rest of those 3 states internet access and being able to call or text without satellites is extremely limited
